GREENWOOD, MO – A Funeral Mass for Richard Milz of Greenwood, Mo. was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 11 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Kansas City, Mo.
Visitation was held at 10 a.m. on March 11 an hour before services at the church.
McGilley Antioch Chapel in Kansas City, Mo. handled the arrangements.
Richard, 68, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013.
Richard Milz was born July 30, 1944 in Cresco, Iowa, the son of Joseph and Jessie Milz. He graduated from Crestwood Public High School in 1962. He worked for Kansas City Southern Railroad Company most of his life, retiring on his birthday in 2004.
Richard married his wife Anita on Jan. 4, 1998.
He was an avid Green Bay Packers and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. He enjoyed taking vacations with his wife Anita and very special granddaughter, Ashleigh.
Richard is survived by his wife Anita; brothers: Donald Milz (Sharon); Gerald Milz (Colleen); Joseph Milz (Teresa); sisters: Marilyn O’Shea (John); Judy Chrisman; Jeanne Hruska (Dennis); sister-in-law: Diane Milz; step sons: Jason Love and Jeffrey Love; granddaughter: Ashleigh DiMattina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother: Wayne Milz.
